STUDIO ETIQUETTE

  • Parents must escort their child into the studio for their lesson and pick their child up from the studio.
  • Children must be supervised at all times while in the building
  • Parents are responsible for their child before and after their child’s lesson
  • Teachers will take responsibility for the child during their lesson time
  • Parents are asked to refrain from interrupting classes. If you must talk to the teacher or director and there are classes still on it is best to call or email during non-class times
  • Please arrive to class 5 minutes early
  • All phones must be on silent in the studio
  • Ensure your child bring their own labelled drink bottle to their class
  • Hair must be tied back and off your child’s face during classes
  • No food is permitted in the studio
  • If you make a mess, please tidy it up
  • If your child is sick or you are planning to be away, a courtesy email or text is appreciated
  • If you do not let us know about your absence before your class, you are not eligible for a make-up class
  • If your child become very unwell or injured during class, we will call you
  • Our studio stands for NO BULLYING towards students, parents or staff

 

PAYMENTS

  • Term fees must be paid in FULL by date written on your invoice
  • If your child is sick or you are going away on holidays, we are unfortunately not able to deduct this from your term fees

MAKE-UP CLASSES

  • You must email or text before your child’s lesson to be eligible for a make-up class
  • In circumstances where your child is sick and you have emailed or text us before the lessons, we can offer a make-up class. However, we cannot always guarantee there will be a make-up lesson to suit your schedule

CLOTHING AND FOOTWEAR

  • We do not have a uniform at our studio; however, we ask that students wear clothing appropriate and practical to the dance class style they are attending
  • For Grand Leapers students if they are doing a ballet class, we would kindly advise students to wear a leotard and skirt, so the teachers can see their body alignment clearly enough to correct them
  • We ask that you have the correct footwear for your dance classes. If your child is doing a ballet and jazz combo class, it is only necessary to get ballet shoes

PHOTOGRAPHY

  • During classes staff and teachers there will be photography and videos taken during classes. We respect you and your family’s privacy, so if you have selected NO on your enrolment for photos and videos to be shared on social media, we will make sure your child is not in those photos selected
  • We will use photos and videos on our social media accounts and website of those of you who have selected yes in the enrolment form

TEACHERS AND STAFF

  • All teachers and staff have been trained and keeping up to date with regular First Aid and CPR training
  • All teachers and staff have a Current Working with Children’s Check
  • All dance teachers have the appropriate training and have completed the appropriate studies to be able to teach the classes they are teaching correctly and safely to their students

AMBULANCE / EMERGENCY

  • In the event of an emergency involving your child, in the case where is it not possible to practical to reach you, appropriate medical assistance will be administered for which you are responsible for the cost
